With the recent consent from our patrons, PEBL has offered their office site as location for the grand reveal of the FIRST Global 2021 Discover & Recover kit.
The kit is a collection of parts, both mechanical and electronic, and is provided to each TEAM participating in the challenge.
This year, the teams are expected to build four different robot components, a climber, an intake, a launcher and a drivetrain. These are all different systems that are frequently used in the FIRST Global challenges and are intended to educate and test the participants in building and designing them.
Like opening a time capsule, the team, with Ama Geingos as their team captain, was eager to open the kit and to reveal the brand-new components.
This will be the first step in developing the robots required for the challenge.
Currently, the team is focused on building the Minibot prototype robot, intended to train the team members on the basics of building and programming a robot.
